When we first found
out about the availability of Black Spirit, this is all we had to go
on. We made the decision to ask if we could be her stewards, based
only on this picture |
| The parting shot.
This is Black Spirit, loaded and heading for Tennessee. |
 |
 |
7:00 AM, Memorial
Day, 2007. She arrives safe and sound in Tennessee |
| It was a close fit but
the driver (Paul) from Journey's End Marina in Rockland, did a masterful
job of backing her into place. |
 |
 |
Sitting tall and
pretty. Here she will be until her return to glory is complete. |
| I took this picture from
the roof of the house. It is hard to believe her deck is 10 feet
from the ground. |
 |
 |
People have said that is
the last time you will see us smiling. Well, we do intend to prove
them wrong. We are so excited at the prospects, the future, and the
pleasure we will get restoring her. |
| The first step was
making it easy to get up to her. A solid platform to work from,
complete with flowers and TIKI torches!! |
 |
 |
Deep from within the
bilge, Claudia found the original fog bell and polished her up. I
mounted it on the deck so we can be inspired every time the wind blows and
it rings out |
